December: Stress & Anxiety
December can be an extremely stressful month, probably the most stressful month of the year.  With finals, busy days, and lots of holiday spending, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.  This month, BodyImage3D focuses on stress & anxiety, and gives helpful tips for maintaining that healthy mind, healthy body, and healthy spirit.  As Operation Beautiful, our goal is to promote a well-rounded healthy body image, and taking care of yourself is key.  So we hope you enjoy these tips on staying stress-free during the holidays!


1. Bath & Body Works Stress Relief Vanilla Verbena Aromatherapy Body Wash & Foam Bath 
After a long day, there’s nothing better than a long, hot bubble bath.  Put a little bit of this in your bath and not only does it smell good, but it actually helps you relieve stress with its nourishing botanicals.


2. Soothing Music
Sitting down and taking time to listen to relaxing music can have more of an effect than you may think.  Our favorites are Coldplay and Mumford & Sons.

Sleeping patterns have a tremendous effect on your stress & anxiety.  It’s important that you’re getting at least 8 hours of sleep per night.  And make sure you have a regulated sleep pattern.  Get your beauty rest, you deserve it!

onething4. Make Lists
One thing we’ve learned is to make lists of what need to gets done.  But don’t overwhelm yourself! Write down the deadlines and the importance of each thing that needs to get done.  Make a goal to get at least one thing crossed off your list each day.  You’ll be amazed at the difference this makes.


5. Aromatherapy
Lighten the mood with some aromatherapy candles!  Any natural aromas – like lavender, chamomile or jasmine can help relieve stress before or after a busy day, and they look pretty too!

coffee6. Coffee Break
No matter how busy you are, you can always make time for a coffee break.  Take a quick trip to Starbucks and treat yourself!
